Stabilizer Bar & Bushing Assembly: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Allow suspension to hang freely. Remove wheels. Disconnect stabilizer bar from lower control arms. Remove stabilizer bar mounting brackets on engine cradle or crossmember.
- Separate tie rod ends from steering knuckles. Disconnect pipe connecting exhaust manifold to catalytic converter. Disconnect air pump pipe to exhaust pipe (if equipped).
- Turn passenger's side strut assembly fully to the right. Slide stabilizer shaft over steering knuckle. Pull down on stabilizer bar until it clears the frame. Remove stabilizer shaft from vehicle.
- Inspect and replace all rubber bushings showing signs of wear, damage or deterioration.
