Hub Assembly & Seal: Installation

Install new seal in steering knuckle. Lubricate seal lip with grease. Install "O" ring on hub assembly. See Fig 1. Reverse removal procedures for remaining components. Use care not to damage seal during axle shaft and hub installation.
Align reference mark on hub and steering knuckle. Tighten bolts to specification. Align reference mark on hub and rotor. Install new nut on drive axle. Initially tighten nut to 74 ft. lbs. (100 N.m). Lower vehicle and tighten nut to specification.
