Oil Indicator Is Always On
- Disconnect oil pressure sending unit. Place ignition switch in "RUN" position. Using a jumper wire, connect Gray wire to ground. If oil indicator goes out, go to step 3).
- If not, remove oil light relay. Turn ignition switch to "RUN". If oil indicator is still on, check Tan wire or instrument cluster printed circuit for a short. If oil indicator goes out, check Tan/Black and Gray wires for an open. If wires are okay, replace oil light relay.
- Using jumper wire, connect Gray and Pink/Black wires. If oil indicator goes out, replace oil pressure sending unit. If not, check Pink/Black or Black wire for an open. If wire is okay, replace instrument cluster.
