Fuel Gauge Display Inaccurate

Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit connector (near fuel tank). Connect a known good sending unit to harness. Move sending unit float up and down. If fuel display is correct, remove fuel tank and replace fuel gauge sending unit. If fuel display is incorrect, replace instrument cluster.
