Coolant Temperature Display Indicates Hot When Engine Is Cold

Disconnect coolant temperature sending unit. Place ignition switch in "RUN" position and observe coolant temperature display. If display reads cold, replace coolant temperature sending unit. If display still reads hot, check Dark Green/Yellow and Light Green wires for a short to ground.
