The instrument cluster has a vacuum fluorescent digital display for the speedometer and odometers. The gauge displays are vacuum fluorescent bar graphs. All other displays and indicators within cluster are vacuum fluorescent displays as well. All functions within the cluster are controlled by a solid-state microprocessor.

A decoder module provides control signals for the digital cluster. It also provides signals for the "PRND21" display, the Park/Neutral signal to the Electronic Control Module (ECM), and back-up lights.

The digital clusters used in these vehicles are interchangeable. If there is a malfunction in the cluster, the entire cluster must be replaced as a complete assembly.
