Coolant Temperature Indicator

Indicator is controlled by a thermal switch which senses engine coolant temperatures. With ignition switch in "START" position, indicator will light as a bulb test.

If cooling system does not hold pressure or low boiling point anti-freeze is in system, coolant sensor may not respond properly. This will result in "TEMP" indicator failing to operate in spite of engine overheating.
