"Service Engine Soon"

The "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" indicator lights when there is a problem or malfunction with the engine. Voltage from the "GAGES" fuse flows to bulb in "RUN", "BULB TEST", or "START" positions. If the Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects a problem in the engine, it supplies a path to ground for the indicator.
