Display Dimming

With the ignition switch in the "OFF" position, no voltage is supplied to the Display Dim Enable Input (DDEI) at the IPC. With the light switch in "PARK" or "HEAD" position, battery voltage is supplied to the DDEI through the instrument panel cluster display dimmer switch and the "INST LPS" fuse. The instrument panel cluster display dimmer switch controls the amount of voltage allowed to enter the DDEI. This variation of voltage to the DDEI controls the brightness of the IPC display.
