Coolant Temperature Display

The coolant temperature display marked "TEMP" is located to the left of speed display. The approximate engine coolant temperature is indicated by the number of bars lit on the display. Display will vary with air temperature and driving conditions. The display should normally stay within one or 2 bars of center.

If the top Red bar should light, this indicates the engine temperature is about 259°F (126°C). When the Red bar is lit, a fast pulsed chime will sound and the word "HOT" will be displayed on the instrument cluster. The coolant temperature symbol next to the display will also flash. When the 3 previous warning signals are indicated, engine cooling system is overheating.
