Digital Displays

With light switch off, no voltage is applied to Gray wire. The digital display shows maximum brightness. With light switch in "PARK" or "HEAD" positions, battery voltage is applied through the dim enable input at the instrument panel.

Voltage is also applied to instrument panel dimmer switch and the "INST LPS" fuse (Gray wire) to instrument panel. The voltage on Gray wire varies as dimmer switch is moved. The display dims as voltage in Gray wire is reduced.
