Instrument Panel (Dimming)

With light switch off, no voltage is applied to Brown wire. The instrument cluster displays are at maximum brightness. With light switch in "PARK" or "HEAD" positions, battery voltage is applied to dimmer input at instrument panel.

Voltage is also applied through instrument panel illumination input. Voltage applied to dimmer input varies as the dimmer switch is moved. Digital displays dim as voltage is reduced.
