Removal & Installation ("C" & "H" Bodies)

1. Remove trunk side cover. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Using a jack, support control arm to prevent coil spring from forcing control arm downward. Disconnect ELC air tube from strut air tube fitting (if equipped).
2. From inside trunk, remove strut tower mounting nuts. From under vehicle, remove strut anchor bolts, washers and nuts from knuckle and bracket. Remove strut. See Fig 1 .
3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Before lowering vehicle, lightly pressurize ELC system by grounding compressor test lead in engine compartment.
