Charts A-11 To A-18: Valve Block & Main Valve CKT

NOTE: Manually activating inlet or outlet valves can be done by jumpering pins on break-out box. DO NOT activate valves for more than 30 seconds. NEVER manually activate main valve.
  1. Main valve, located inside hydraulic unit, is energized when system is in ABS mode. EBCM applies 12 volts to main valve solenoid from pin No. 18. Valve is grounded through hydraulic unit. Normal resistance is 2-5 ohms.
  2. Valve block ground comes from EBCM pin No. 11. Inlet and outlet valves are grounded by hydraulic unit. Resistance between valve block ground (EBCM pin No. 11) and body ground should never exceed 2 ohms. Inlet valves are normally open.
  3. When EBCM applies 12 volts at pins No. 15, 17 or 35, inlet valves close. Valves are closed for short period of time to hold pressure or pressure reduction is desired. Resistance for inlet valve should be 5-7 ohms. Outlet valves operate the same as inlet valve. EBCM applies voltage at pins No. 34, 33 and 16. Resistance should be 3-5 ohms.
