Fuel Gauge (Short Test)
- Disconnect Gray wire at fuel tank unit connector and turn ignition switch to "RUN" position. If fuel gauge still indicates empty, check Purple wire for a short to ground. Check instrument cluster printed circuit for flaws and gauge connections.
- Repair or replace fuel gauge if Purple wire, printed circuit, and gauge connections are okay. If fuel gauge indicates full, repair or replace fuel gauge sender.
