BMW bonding instructions - Prepare the area (1) for the structural adhesive bonding of steel on steel.
- In the area (1)
, make 9 bore holes of Ø 4.2 mm for the blind rivets.
Do not hereby drill into or through the existing production spot-welds.
Set bore holes only between the existing production spot-welds.

Spot-weld bonding steel components - Prepare the new part in the areas (2)
to (4)
for joining by welding.
In the areas (2) and (3) , follow the procedure for replacing the spot-welded adhesive joints in standard production.
- Prepare the new part and the reinforcement plate in the areas (1)
and (2)
for joining by welding.
In the area (2) , follow the procedure for replacing spot-welded adhesive joints in standard production.
- Remove new part and deburr bores.
Renew T-bolt

- Take the quantity and position from the component to be renewed.
- Renew T-bolts (1)

- Weld the T-bolt (1) onto the new part.
