Removing the rear outer window recess finisher strip
Precondition
- Convertible top is open.
Convertible top flap is in open position.
Precondition
Side window glass is open.
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage of high-quality surfaces.
Plastic wedges can damage high-quality surfaces.
Damage of high-quality surfaces.
Plastic wedges can damage high-quality surfaces.
- Protect surfaces from damage.
- Insert special tool 0 495 484 (00 9 324) into window cavity.
- Position the special tool 0 495 484 (00 9 324) as shown with the short shank at the lower edge of the window recess finisher strip (1).
- Position the special tool 0 496 570 (00 9 326) on the side trim panel.
- To avoid pressure points on the side trim panel from the special tool 0 496 570 (00 9 326), also protect the side trim panel.
- Thread a suitable tool (2) through the opening in the special tool 0 495 484 (00 9 324) .
- Move special tool 2 298 505 and 0 495 484 (00 9 324) uniformly backwards until the window recess finisher strip (1) has been completely disassembled.
- Release and remove the window recess finisher strip (1) from the clips (2).
