Preparing New Part

Coat the side panel before painting in this area (1) using sealant D1.
CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION

Sealant D1 (seam sealing) 310 ml 83422409985
Paint side panel.

Release screw (1) and remove guide (2) from the side panel to be replaced.
Check the guide (2) for damage; replace it if necessary.

Attach the guide (2) to the new part and tighten the screw (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Release the seal (1) at the detents (2) and remount it on the new part.

Release the trim (1) at the clamps (2) and remove from the side panel to be replaced.

Check the clamps (1) and mounts for the clamps.
Replace broken or missing clips (1).

If the mounts are faulty, renew the trim (2).

Attach the trim (1) to the new side panel and snap into the clamps (2).
