Removing The B-Pillar Reinforcement

NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.

Extended removal of the side panel:
Mark and carry out the separating cut (1) as per dimension a. Disconnect only the outer panel. Dimension a = 325 mm from the center of the hinge mount (arrow).
Release the welded connections in areas (2).

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Release the spot-welded adhesive joints in area (3).
Remove the additional section (4) of the side panel.
NOTE: Disregard the original separating cuts (5) when replacing the side panel.
Remove the outer cavity sealing (1).

Release the welded connections in areas (1).
Release and remove the reinforcement of the B-pillar from the inner cavity sealing (2).
