Detach the output shaft from the rear axle differential

Position the special tool at the circumferential slot (1) of the output shaft.

Press the driven shaft out of the rear axle differential using the special tool 0 495 851 (33 5 120) and, depending on the design version of the driven shaft, using the appropriate special tool 0 495 856 (33 5 124), 0 496 765 (33 5 126), 2 360 787, 0 496 862, or 5 A7E 798 , using a jerky motion.
