Removing the seal for the rear roof frame

Precondition

Battery charger connected.

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

NOTE: To provide a better overview: Schematic diagram with partially hidden components.

CAUTION: Folding up of convertible top through loss of pressure in hydraulic cylinders.
Injury hazard! Injury hazard by trapping!

When carrying out all repair work, secure soft top and soft top compartment lid with a suitable support tool against collapsing. Ensure soft top is supported in the middle.

Bring the convertible top (1) in the half opened position.
Secure the convertible top (1) from collapsing by using the support 2 452 010 if necessary.

NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.
Mark the positions of the screws (1).
Note down the number and position of the washers (3).
Loosen screws (1).
Remove the seal carrier (2) of the seal for the windshield panel.
