Removing the convertible top latch

Precondition

Battery charger connected.

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING CONVERTIBLE TOP BOW, FRONT .

Release the blind rivet (1).
Release the Hall effect sensor (2) at the cable brackets (3) and remove it.
Slightly raise the retaining clip (4) and unclip the ball head (5).

Release nuts (1).
Remove the convertible top latch (2).
