Installing the hydraulic cylinder for the convertible top compartment lid

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Protect the working area from escaping hydraulic fluid.
Check the seal (1) of the hydraulic line (2) for correct fit and damage, replace it if necessary.

NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
Position the hydraulic lines (2) on the hydraulic cylinder (3).
Push the lock plates (1) on from outside in the arrow direction and lock them.

Install (1) cable tie.
Make sure that the fastener of the cable tie (1) is positioned so that a collision with the other parts of the convertible top is prevented.

Check that the retaining clips (1) on the hydraulic cylinder (2) are fitted correctly.
Clip on the hydraulic cylinder (2) on the associated ball hub.
