Removing the instrument cluster

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Unclip the cover (1) on the instrument cluster (2).
- Loosen screw (3).
- Release the screws (1) on the instrument cluster (2).
- Fir the plastic adhesive tape (1) on to the decorative strip (2).

- Handle component carefully.
- Pull the instrument cluster (1) manually in arrow direction (A) and build up slight preload.
- Slide the instrument cluster (1) manually upwards in arrow direction (B).

- Feed the instrument cluster (1) upwards with the hook (2) out from the clamps (3).

- Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.
- Feed out the cable (2) from the holders (arrows).
- Unclip all cable brackets (3).
- Feed out and remove the instrument cluster (4).
