Removing the transfer box (VTG)

Preliminary work
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE CONNECTING SUPPORT FROM THE TUNNEL .
- Refer to REMOVING EXHAUST SYSTEM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TANK COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LEFT THRUST FIELD .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR HEAT SHIELD .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT HEAT SHIELD .
- Refer to RELEASING THE TRANSMISSION BEARING SUPPORT .
- Refer to REMOVING TRANSMISSION CROSS-MEMBER .
- Refer to PARTIALLY LOOSENING THE PROP SHAFT .
- Unscrew the bolt (1) and disconnect the ground strap (2).
- Disconnect the connector (1) from the transfer box control unit in the arrow direction.
- Release the threaded connection (arrows) of the transfer box (VTG).
- Tie up the front prop shaft to the underbody.
It is imperative to prevent damage to the surface coating!
- Carefully detach the transfer box (VTG).
