When replacing the right backrest frame: Remount components

Preliminary work

Remove the rear panel from the right rear seat backrest

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Removing the head restraint on the rear seat backrest

Unclip the head restraint (1) in the marked area (2).
Remove the head restraint (1) upward from the backrest frame (3).

Install the head restraint on the rear seat backrest
Correctly position the head restraint (1) from above on the backrest frame (3).
Clip in the head restraint (1) in the marked area (2).

Install the rear panel on the rear seat backrest on the right

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Install the rear panel on the rear seat backrest
Position the rear panel (1).
Clip the welt of the backrest cover in with the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) along the broken line (2).
