- On vehicles with "Remote Engine Start" (SA1CR):
- Starting the engine while working on the braking system is strictly forbidden. When starting the engine via "Remote Engine Start", the parking brake is automatically applied.
- Deactivate the function "Remote Engine Start".
- Open the hood before working on the braking system. This prevents the engine from being started.
WARNING:
Vehicle may slip off the vehicle hoist if the vehicle hoist is handled incorrectly.

After a brake pad exchange and before pressing the brake pedal: It is imperative to apply the electromechanical parking brake.
If this is not observed, a CC message appears and the brake system switches to the emergency program. The brake booster is no longer active.

Preliminary work
- Refer to NOTING THE INFORMATION ON THE CARBON CERAMIC BRAKE .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL .
- Refer to LOOSENING THE OUTPUT SHAFT FROM THE WHEEL BEARING .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR BRAKE PADS .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR BRAKE ROTOR .
- Refer to RELEASING WHEEL SPEED SENSOR FROM THE WHEEL CARRIER .
- Tie up output shaft (1) using special tool 2 413 317 .
- Mark the position of the eccentric of eccentric screw (3) in relation to the wheel carrier in order to simplify the subsequent adjustment of the rear axle.
- Release nut (1).
- Remove the eccentric washer (2).
- Pull out eccentric screw (3).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Pull anti-roll bar link (1) a little to the rear and pull out screw (2).
- Loosen screw (1).
- Mark the position of the eccentric of eccentric screw (4) in relation to the camber control arm in order to simplify the subsequent adjustment of the rear axle.
- Release nut (2).
- Remove the eccentric washer (3).
- Pull out eccentric screw (4).

Secure component against falling.

- Release the nuts (1) and (2). If necessary, counter support at the Torx socket.
- Guide out and remove wheel carrier (3) from the wishbones.
