Cleaning the sealing surfaces and applying liquid sealing compound

Use special tool 0 495 104 (11 4 472) to remove the sealing residue.

(1) = rough sealing residue

(2) = fine sealing residue

Remove the sealing residue on the rear axle differential and clean sealing surface (1) .

When reusing the oil pan:
Remove the sealing residue and clean sealing surface (1) .

Prepare the special tool 2 469 803 with liquid sealing compound (1) .

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The processing time of the liquid sealing compound can be at a maximum of 10 min.
Commissioning of the assembly is not possible until 25 minutes after the processing time.
Non-observance can lead to leaks in the assembly.

Apply liquid sealing compound along the dashed line (1) to the sealing surface of the oil pan.
The sealing bead must run along the inner edge.
