Installing the catalytic converter with the center silencer

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Mount the exhaust system in a de-energized state, following the tightening sequence from the rear silencer towards the exhaust manifold.

NOTE: Description is for left component only.
Procedure on the right side is identical.

Replace the two seals (1).

Replace the catalytic converter with the center silencer (1).
Parts: Catalytic converter with the center silencer
Insert and install the catalytic converter with the center silencer (1).

Connect rear silencer (1) using gripper clamps (2) to center silencer (3).
Center the gripper clamps (2) and tighten the nuts (arrows).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

Clamp with partial replacement of exhaust system
Gripper clamp	Tightening torque	38 Nm
