Removing trim strip on rear side window

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING THE DECORATIVE TRIM .

Mechanical effects.
Paint damage.

Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Starting from the bottom front, carefully lever out the trim strip on the rear side window (1) using the special tool 0 496 569 (00 9 325) .
