Checking the expiration of the gas pressure springs for hood and, if necessary, replacing them

CBS reset was carried out.

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
For vehicles with active pedestrian protection (SA8TF), both gas-filled shock absorbers of the hood must be regularly replaced as part of preventive maintenance.
With some gas-filled shock absorbers, the expiration date is printed on. For all others, only the production date is printed on.
Regardless of the printing, both gas-filled shock absorbers of the hood must be regularly replaced as part of preventive maintenance.

Check whether the expiry of the two gas pressure springs for hood has reached the date of the next brake fluid service.
If the expiry is not reached: Replace the two gas pressure springs for hood against a separate calculation.
Example vehicle 1: Expiration date 02/2022 is earlier than the date of the next brake fluid service 04/2022.
=> Both gas pressure springs for hood must be replaced.
Example vehicle 2: Expiration date 02/2022 is later than the date of the next brake fluid service 12/2021.
=> Neither of the gas pressure springs for hood need to be replaced at the current point in time.
