Install delivery unit

- Install the delivery unit into the fuel tank.
- Insert the fuel filter with the holder into the fuel tank.
- Guide in the delivery unit (1) from above in the arrow direction and lock it in place.
The delivery unit must snap into place correctly in the mount.
- Lock the lock (2) downward in the arrow direction.
- Feed the fuel filter with the holder (1) from the top into the delivery unit and engage it.
Detent (2) must engage correctly.
- Check the locking mechanisms of the snap fastener for damage and replace if necessary.
- Ensure that the snap-in lugs (1) and (2) engage correctly.
- Fit and lock snap fastener.
The snap fastener must be seen and heard to engage.
- Ensure correct locking of the snap fastener by means of a tensile sample.
- Position snap fastener (3) and lock.
Mount cable tie
Check
- Check the hose length (1) of the delivery unit and note further procedure accordingly.
Result
» The hose length (1) is approx. (A) 340 mm. The delivery unit has part number 16 11 7 856 997.
Measure
- Mount the cable tie (see the following step).
Check
Result
» The hose length (1) is approx. (A) 261 mm. The delivery unit has the part number: 16 11 9 502 287.
Measure
- Do not mount any cable ties.
- Replace the cable ties (1).
Parts: Cable tie
- Mount the cable tie (1) between the holder for the fuel filter and the corrugated tubing.
- Close the cable ties (1) until the distance (A) is reached.
Gap (A) = 100 mm
- Remove overlength of the cable tie (2).
- Connect connector (1).
- Replace sealing ring (1).

- Mount the flange lid (1) in arrow direction.
