Replacing the left cylinder head cover

- Remount clamps (1)
on the cylinder head cover (2)

- Loosen screws (1) .
- Remount the heat shield (2) .
- Replace screws (1)

- Tighten down screws (1)
.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Heat protection plate M6x12 screw
Replace screw.tightening torque 10 Nm - Loosen screws (2) .
- Remove camshaft position sensors (1) .
Check
- Check O-rings (1) on the camshaft position sensors for damage.
Result
» O-ring (1) is damaged.
Measure
- Replace O-ring (1)

Measure
- Continue the repair in the next step.
- Coat O-rings of the camshaft position sensors (1) with engine oil.
- Position camshaft position sensors (1) .
- Tighten down screws (2)
.TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
Camshaft position sensor M6x16 screw Tightening torque 8 Nm - Loosen screws (1) .
- Remove liquid-vapor separator (2) .
- Position the liquid-vapor separator (2) .
- Tighten down screws (1) .
