Replace the cylinder head cover

• Replace the cylinder head cover.

  Parts:  Cylinder head cover

• Remount clamps (1)  on the cylinder head cover (2)  .

• Loosen screw (1)  .
• Remount the holder (2)  .

  The centering pin must be in the recess (3) in the cylinder head cover. 

• Tighten down screw (1)  .
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Holder on the cylinder head cover
  M6x16 screw	Tightening torque	10 Nm

• Loosen screws (1)  .
• Remount the heat shield (2)  .
• Tighten down screws (1)  .
  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
  
  

  Heat protection plate
  M6x12 screw Replace screw.	tightening torque	10 Nm

• Loosen screws (2)  .
• Remove camshaft position sensors (1)  .

Check 

• Check O-rings (1)  on the camshaft position sensors for damage.

Result 

» O-ring (1)  damaged

Measure

• Replace O-ring (1)  .

  Parts:  O-ring

» O-ring (1)  not damaged.

Measure

• Continue the repair in the next step.

• Coat O-ring of camshaft position sensor with engine oil.
• Position camshaft position sensors (1)  .
• Tighten down screws (2)  .

• Loosen screws (1)  .
• Remove liquid-vapor separator (2)  .
• Position the liquid-vapor separator (2)  .
• Tighten down screws (1)  .
