Conduct the following operation with the assistance of a second person.

- Release the tensioning strap (2) .
- Replace the rear axle differential (1)
.
Parts: Rear axle differential
- Position the rear axle differential (1) on the special tool 0 496 009 (33 5 200) and secure with the tensioning belt (2) .
- Remove the protective caps of the radial shaft seal.NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Insert the installation protection ring (1)
in the radial shaft seal (2)
