Remount evaporator

Precondition 

• Heating and air-conditioning unit removed.

• Loosen screw (1).
• Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.
• Take the cables (3) from the holders (arrows) and set aside.

• Disengage detents (1).
• Loosen screws (2).

• Loosen screws (1).
• Slightly tilt the housing (2) and detach it from the hook (3).

• Loosen screws (1).

• Feed out the seal (1) via the lines (2) and remove it completely.

• Disengage the detents (1) and remove the cover (2).
• Turn the coolant pipes (3) in a downwards direction.

  NOTE: The operations shown only for one side must be carried out on both sides.
• Release detent (1).

• Turn the heating and air-conditioning unit around.
• Loosen the detents (1).
• Loosen screws (2).

• Unlock the detents (1) and feed out the housing (2) and remove it.

• Remove the evaporator (1) with the seal (2) from the distributor housing (3).

• Insert the evaporator (1) correctly in the distributor housing (3).
• Make sure that the seal (2) is positioned correctly.

• Insert the housing (2) and engage it with the detents (1).

• Engage the detents (1).
• Tighten down screws (2).

Heater/air conditioner
Screw	Tightening torque	1.2 Nm

• Turn the heating and air-conditioning unit around.

• Engage the detent (1).

• Turn the coolant pipes (3) forward and position them correctly.
• Engage cover panel (2) at the detents (1).

• Feed in the seals (1) completely over the lines (2) and position correctly.

• Tighten down screws (1).

• Attach housing (2) at the hooks (3) and position correctly.
• Tighten down screws (1).

• Engage the detents (1).
• Tighten down screws (2).

• Engage cable (3) at the detents (arrows).
• Connect connectors (2) and lock.
• Tighten down screw (1).
