18 00 020 Removing And Installing Complete Exhaust System (Z3 / S54)

IMPORTANT: Support exhaust system with lifter; note that the two rear mufflers make the exhaust system heavier at the rear that at the front.

Disconnect plug connections on both monitor sensors. Release screw connection for temperature sensor.

Release screw connections (1) between exhaust manifold and catalytic converter.

Installation: 

Check gaskets, replace if necessary.

Replace self-locking nuts.

Coat threads with -CRC- copper paste .

Release hexagon screw (1) for mounting on rear muffler on rear axle carrier on left and right.

Release hexagon nuts (1) for supporting rear mufflers at inside rear on body on left and right.

Release hexagon nuts (1) for supporting rear mufflers at outside front on body on left and right.

Remove exhaust system towards bottom.
