Disabling Air Bag System

NOTE:
SRS is equipped with a back-up power source so that if work is started within 90 seconds from disconnecting negative battery cable, SRS may be deployed.
- Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle or deactivate radio anti-theft function before disconnecting vehicle battery.
- Place front wheels in straight-ahead position. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect and shield negative battery cable. WAIT at least 90 SECONDS before working on vehicle.
