Removing the left and right retaining frame

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Removing the retaining frame

NOTE: Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.

Unlock all plug connections and disconnect.
Release wiring harness (1) from all the clips and remove it from the working area.

Loosen screw (1).
Guide out and remove reinforcement (2).

Loosen the expanding rivet (1).
Release the retaining frame (2) from the detents (3) and remove it.
