Remove the backrest cover with the upholstery for the front seat

Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!

Before working on the airbag, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

Detach the backrest cover (1) in this area (2).
Detach the holder.

Unclip clips (1).
Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.

Detach (1) the holder.
Loosen nuts (2).

Clip in backrest covering in the marked areas in backrest frame.
Removing the backrest cover with the upholstery for the comfort seat.
Thread the backrest cover 1 in completely with the side airbag in direction of arrow.
