Releasing the left or right output shaft from the rear axle differential

Detach the output shaft from the rear axle differential

Different variants may be installed depending on the vehicle equipment.

- Position the special tool described below on the circumferential slot (1) of the driven shaft.
- Position special tool 0 495 851 (33 5 120) on the driven shaft with the appropriate special tool 0 495 856 (33 5 124) , 0 496 765 (33 5 126) , 0 496 862, 2 360 787 or 5 A7E 798 depending on the design version.
- Support special tool 0 495 851 (33 5 120)
against a standard tool (1) and press out the driven shaft from the rear axle differential with a jerk.
