Preparing the wheel for balancing

Use only balancing machines that are approved by BMW.
The corresponding Owner's Manual must be observed.

- Remove any balancing weights, stones in the tire tread and major contamination.
- Check the tire pressure.
- Check tires for damage.
- Check the wheel for radial runout and axial runout.
- For wheels with additionally installed (inserted) fenders (1) as are for example installed in G08 vehicles, remove the fender (1) before balancing.
