Partially removing the radiator of high-temperature coolant circuit

Immobilization period-long fill of coolant!
Do not reuse used coolant.
The coolant must be replaced when replacing and removing components which depend on the anti-corrosion effect of the coolant. The cooling system must therefore be emptied and refilled.
In the case of other removal work involving the draining of part quantities of coolant, the coolant level must be topped up with new coolant.

- Loosen screw (1).
- Release the screw (1) of the air conditioning condenser.
- Detach the air conditioning condenser (1) from the rubber mounts (2) in the arrow direction and set it to the side.
- Unlock and disconnect the coolant line (1).
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Unlock and disconnect the coolant line (1).
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
If installed: Detaching the coolant lines from the external radiators
- Unlock coolant line (1) and detach.
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Unlock coolant line (1) and detach.
- Catch and dispose of escaping coolant.
- Version with automatic transmission:
Release the transmission oil lines (1) at left and right from the brackets (2).
- Tilt radiator (1) of the high-temperature coolant circuit in the arrow direction.
- Press radiator (1) of the high-temperature coolant circuit in the lower area in the arrow direction and guide it out of holders (2).
- Guide out radiator (1) of the high-temperature coolant circuit carefully
in the arrow direction and remove it.
