Partially remove the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel on the right

Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Removing the emergency release handle for the tailgate (additional work for US version)
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Loosen the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate from the holder.
- Detach the Bowden cable (2) and remove the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate.
Partially removing luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel
- Unclip covers (1) of lashing eyes (2).
- Release screws (3) of lashing eyes (2).
- Release expanding rivet (4) of multi-function hook.
- Release nut (1).
- Release the expanding rivet (2).
- Feed out the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (3) under the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.
- Fold the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (3) in the rear area carefully in the direction of the center of vehicle.
If installed: Disconnecting the plug connection of the 12 V socket
- Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) of the 12 V socket from the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2).
