Partially installing the Install luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel on right

NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
If installed: Connect the connector of the 12V socket
- Connect the connector (1) of the 12 V socket with the
luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (2) and lock.
Partially installing the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel
- Fold back the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (3).
- Feed in the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel (3) under the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.
- Secure expanding rivet (2).
- Hand-tighten the nut (1).
- Secure the multifunction hook with the expanding rivet (4).
- Tighten screws (3) of lashing eyes (2).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Lashing point to body M8 screw Tightening torque 19 Nm - Clip in covers (1) of lashing eyes (2).
Installing the emergency release handle for the tailgate (additional work for US version)
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Attach the Bowden cable (2).
- Fasten the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate to the holder.
