Installing the backrest covering with the cushion for the front seat

- Before working on the airbag, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
- Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

- Positioning the backrest covering (1) with the cushion without damaging it in the marked area (2).
- Position the backrest covering (1) complete with the side airbag in the arrow direction.
- Position the stud bolt of the side airbag in the area (2) correctly.
- Correctly position the backrest covering (1) in the marked area (3).
- Attach holder (1).
- Replace nuts (2).

- Tighten nuts (2).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Replace nut.tightening torque 6.5 Nm - Connect connectors (1) and lock.
- Clip in clips (1).
- Connect connectors (2) and lock.
- Attach the backrest covering (1) in the area (2).
- Attach the seat cover (3).
