Guiding output shaft, left or right, out of rear axle differential

NOTE: Description is for right component only. The procedure on the left side is identical.

Pulling the output shaft out from the rear axle differential

Turn the rear axle differential (1) to the left with the special tool 0 496 009 (33 5 200). Thereby, pull out the output shaft (2).
Bind the output shaft firmly (2).
