Connecting delivery unit (vehicles without auxiliary heater)

Risk of fire! Danger of explosion!

When working on the fuel system, make sure the workstation has sufficient ventilation, e.g., by means of extraction.
Tightly seal off open lines and connections; collect any leakage fuel directly at the point of exit.
No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.

Collect and dispose of emerging fluids. Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.

All the new delivery units are delivered in equipment specification with parked-car heating.
For these vehicles, the connection on the flange lid must be closed with a lock.
The lock must be ordered separately, refer to applicable BMW parts catalogue.

Position snap fastener (1) and lock.

Position and lock the plug connection.
Lock retaining tab (1) in the arrow direction.

Replace the sealing cap of the floor panel.
Parts: Sealing cap of the floor panel

There is a risk of leaks if the sealing cap of the floor panel is reused.
Coat the seal in the area (1) with lubricant (refer to applicable BMW parts catalogue).
INSTALLATION AID SPECIFICATION

Lubricants G14 900 ml, Can 83232360412

Lock sealing cap (1) in place in the arrow direction up to the stop.
Mark (2) must point forwards in the driving direction.
