Carrying out the service function "Open and close the radiator blind" (air flap control)

Hood is closed.
Ignition is switched on.

Fault memory entry/damage to the air flap control when disconnecting the negative battery cable.
Damage to the kinematics of the air flap control.
Fault memory entry/damage to the air flap control when disconnecting the negative battery cable.

- Open the air flap control completely according to the diagnosis instructions, before the negative battery cable must be disconnected.
- Only carry out the following steps if the negative battery cable is disconnected for this purpose.
- Connect diagnostic system:
- Service functions
- Power train
- Engine electrical system
- Radiator blind
- Open the radiator blind
