Removing the VDP control unit

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
After the expansion or exchange of the ride height sensor or of the attachment rod of the ride height sensor and after the replacement of the control unit for the vertical dynamic platform (VDP), a ride height adjustment must always be carried out.

Preliminary work
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM PANEL FOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY .
- Refer to REMOVING THE INNER DOOR SILL COVER STRIP .
- Refer to REMOVING THE SIDE TRIM PANEL IN THE FOOTWELL AT THE LEFT A-PILLAR .
- Fold the carpet (1) in the footwell to the side.
- Loosen nuts (2).
- Unlock and pull off the plug connection (1).
- Remove the VDP control unit (2).
